  • When applied and removed correctly by a professional, keratin tip extensions (also called K-tips or keratin fusion extensions) do not damage your natural hair. The keratin bond is a protein that mimics the natural structure of your hair, allowing for a safe, long-lasting hold. Damage usually occurs when:

    • Extensions are applied by someone untrained.

    • Clients remove the extensions at home instead of professionally.

    • Aftercare instructions are not followed (e.g., pulling, excessive heat, harsh products).

When cared for properly, K-tips can actually give your natural hair a break from daily styling and heat exposure

  • Most clients can wear keratin tips for 3–5 months before they need to be removed or replaced. This timeframe depends on your hair growth rate and how well you maintain them. Wearing them longer than recommended can cause tangling and stress at the root.

  • A full K-tip extension installation can take average 8 hours, but it can be more or less depending on:

    • The amount of hair being added.

    • The length and density of your natural hair.

    • The desired style and placement.

    • I’ll provide an estimated timeframe during your consultation.

    • Do not apply conditioner, oil, or heavy styling creams directly to the bonds.

    • Avoid tugging, scratching, or picking at the bonds.

    • Avoid chlorine and saltwater exposure without protection (use a swim cap or rinse immediately after).

    • Do not try to remove the extensions yourself. professional removal is required.

    • avoid constant slick back buns/ ponytails

  • Yes! K-tips are very versatile:

    • You can wear your hair curly, straight, up, or down.

    • Heat styling is fine as long as you avoid the bonds.

    • Extensions will blend seamlessly into your natural curls or waves when professionally matched and installed.

  • Yes! I offer both Cherry Financing and Affirm, which allows you to split your investment into smaller, more manageable payments. This makes it easier to enjoy premium services without paying the full amount upfront.

  • K-tip extensions require a custom hair order for each client to ensure a perfect texture, length, and color match. Because of this, appointments must be booked at least 2 weeks in advance.

    Here’s the process:

    • Inquiry Form: You’ll start by filling out my K-tip extension inquiry form.

    • Consultation: I’ll review your submission and schedule a consultation to discuss your goals, pricing, and hair match.

    • Booking: Once everything is confirmed, we’ll place your custom hair order and secure your installation appointment.

  • Yes, if you decide to pay in cash/card, there is a nonrefundable $500. then your remaining balanced will be due at the end of your service.

  • The short answer is yes! The long answer is if you’re actively dealing with hair loss, shedding, or alopecia, you must confirm with a doctor/ dermatologist that it is safe for you to apply extensions.

  • Yes, my k tip method is density matched, meaning the finer parts of your hair will have finer bonds. If you feel like your hair is extremely fine all over, I recommend booking a micro k tip install.

  • K tips are NOT low maintenance. They require weekly cleansing, gentle hands, specific products and tools used to care for your hair, and the bonds must be separated at the root daily. In terms of in salon care, it is low maintenance meaning you don’t have to come into the salon to maintain your install unless you need the expert guidance and support
